I’ve used it recently to crop a 1.85:1 DCI aspect ratio video to 1.78:1 16×9 HD aspect ratio.

Taking the 2048×1080 input file, I set the Frame Size to Manual: 1920×1080, and the Cropping to the preset 16×9 (1.78:1). This automatically sets the Left and Right crop amount to 63 pixels each. No other settings needed adjustment. There is also a Cropping preset for 4×3 (1.33:1).

No, not at this moment in time. I have an older OWC Thunderbolt dock at my office connected to a Mac Studio with a Thunderbolt adapter and it’s still working fine. I haven’t explored these next generation Thunderbolt 4 and 5 docks that OWC and Cal Digit have shipping. They are the pro standard I would say and I’ve had both so these new ones will be great I’m sure. I always find it a hard choice to make once I start looking at the different options between ports, connectivity and cost.

I will say that I home I’ve got this hooked up and it’s working fine for USB peripherals.
